I always look forward to Sunny's books. I know I'm in for a pleasurable time, travelling along with a couple of friends. Well that's how it feels, anyway. I know I'm going to be reading a book that's part memoir, part travelogue, and that I'll get lots of interesting information about the area they're travelling around. This time the cruise is mostly along the St Lawrence sea way, taking in Montreal, Quebec City and some of the islands. I enjoyed the shore trips as well as exploring the ship, and there's so much tasty food. I love the way Sunny is the main author, but there are also pieces from he husband Al, giving his view of the proceedings. From baseball in Boston to Anne of Green Gables, eating seafood, trying lobster and much more, this book is a treat . When I speak of Sunny and Al to my wife, I catch myself speaking of them as if they are longtime friends. Yet, we have never actually met. Such is the power of their books and our e-mails back and forth. I heartily recommend "Cruising from Boston to Montreal" and all of their travel books to anyone who enjoys traveling in person or in mind. Their books are a a breath of fresh air. Very simply, it's hard to beat great writing from great people.
